The Dublin Food Pantry has discovered some new statistics to share with our community that are simply staggering. Recent staggering statistics show that the number of our neighbors relying on the support of the Pantry is increasing at unprecedented rates, which only emphasizes the need for our move to a new, larger home at 6608 Dublin Center Drive.
Although these are not statistics that we are excited to share, there is a silver lining. Over the past few months as the need has grown, so has the generosity of our Dublin community.
At the Dublin Irish Festival this past August, we set a new pantry record for non-perishable food donations collected, with 20,336 pounds (about the weight of a school bus) gathered during the first two hours of the Fest on Sunday morning.
We also are just weeks away from the grand opening of our new pantry location and our fundraising goal for the #EveryoneEatsHere capital campaign is within reach. As a community, we have achieved so much in such a brief period, but we are not done just yet.
Help us raise the funds to successfully open our doors and begin operating out of our new location. Only together can we #feeddublin.
