Volunteer Options
In-Pantry Volunteers:
Pantry Crew
- Volunteers need to be 16 years or older
- The Kitchen Crew: sort food and stock the pantry refrigerators, freezers, and shelves.
- The Set-up Crew: prepare, organize, and stock shelves; clean and recycle
- Customer service crew: Greet customers when they enter the building, help customers register for service; assist customers while they shop.
- Loading/unloading deliveries or loading groceries into customer vehicles
- General Pantry Task Crews: sorting or repackaging food, accepting deliveries, unloading deliveries, breaking down boxes, removing trash/recycling.
- Hours:
- Monday AM Crew – 9:00am – 12:30pm
- Monday PM Crew – 4:00pm – 7:45pm
- Tuesday Crew – 9:00am – 1:00pm
- Wednesday AM Crew – 9:00am-12:30pm
- Wednesday PM Crew – 3:00pm – 7:15pm
- Thursday Crew – 9:00pm – 1:00pm
Outside-of-Pantry Volunteers:
Drivers
- The transport team helps by driving to an assigned local grocery store or partner for a weekly perishable food donation pick-up and drop-off to the pantry. Please email bev@dublinfoodpantry.org to sign-up.
- Some drivers are trained to drive the Dublin Food Pantry cargo van (possibly to and from Mid-Ohio Foodbank).
- Hours:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings
Food, Fund, Essential Volunteers
- Collections of food, funds, and essential personal care items are always welcome.
