We know that everything and everyone will soon be thinking “green” in Dublin as it is March and Spring is right around the corner. But there are many in our community still in need of essentials to get from one month to the next.
Spring is hard on our families as sourcing quality food becomes more and more costly. Many of our residents that are food insecure do not get the opportunity to put multiple food colors on their plates each evening. Children are often forced to eat foods of only one color- and that typically means processed foods that won’t help sustain them through long school days.
At the Dublin Food Pantry, we recognize that quality food has a huge impact on health outcomes. We are excited to get our Ohio Health Sustainable Garden going again very soon (quick note: the garden has helped to augment our need for fresh produce by as much as 20% at different times during our warmer months).
As you enjoy the first few days of spring in Dublin, please consider making a monetary donation to our pantry so that we can stock our shelves with bright, sustainable food.
Your contribution in any form will help us feed more families during this difficult time. Thank you for helping us to “think green” and to #feeddublin.
