Our hearts are full, and our doors are finally open. Making it official on Tuesday, October 11th, Dublin Food Pantry board of directors, Mayor Jane Fox, instrumental donors, volunteers, and community members all gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of our new location at 6608 Dublin Center Drive.
We are deeply grateful to our Dublin community for stepping up to help us secure this long-awaited space. Families will no longer have to wait in devastatingly long lines for necessary items and will now experience a more dignified shopping experience with the power to choose food and resources.
On behalf of the Dublin Food Pantry, we cannot begin to thank each one of our over 1,250 donors who have supported our mission to #FeedDublin and contributed to our Capital Campaign including The City of Dublin, our charitable Dublin businesses and corporate sponsors, and individual donors. We could not have done it without you.
And we could not go without saying a very bittersweet goodbye and huge thank you to Dublin Community Church for the many years of partnership and for allowing the Pantry to operate out of the Church basement for nearly 50 years.
See the new Dublin Food Pantry for yourself on Saturday, October 21st from 10am – noon at our Community Open House. Tours of the facility will be self-guided, but our helpful team of volunteers will be around to direct and answer questions as you explore our new space.
