If you are from Central Ohio, then you likely know that we are just a short week away from the highly anticipated 36th annual Dublin Irish Festival.
Not only is it the largest three-day Irish festival in the world, but it is also the largest source of community food donations for the Dublin Food Pantry. In fact, the event is our largest single food drive of the year. Last year alone, the festival brought in 17,000 lbs of supplies that helped stock our shelves for months.
We will be collecting all donations throughout the event at the Dublin Food Pantry tent. If you bring in a food or monetary donation on Sunday before 11am, you will be granted free admission to the festival for the day – a $25 value. Monetary donations can be made on Sunday at all event entrances.
Although all donations are greatly appreciated, our most-needed food items include Jelly, Condensed Soup, Canned Fruit, Oatmeal Packets, and regular size Pancake mix and Syrup.
We are also in need of personal care items like Individual Toothbrushes, Feminine Pads, Diapers (Larger Sizes), Baby Wipes, Deodorant, and Shampoo.
If you haven’t experienced the Dublin Irish Festival, learn more about it and be sure to get your tickets (or bring a donation!) to attend. We can’t wait to see you there. As always, thank you for helping us to #feeddublin. Sláinte!
