Together, we are Filling Hearts and Carts

Updated: Jan 15

Every corner of our community has joined Dublin Food Pantry (DFP) in our work connecting people with needed food, essentials and resources - for healthy, thriving community.

We so appreciate your help especially since our service numbers remain high:

▶︎ Individuals Served in 2021

3,438 in November

(November numbers include a Holiday Meal)

1,898 in October

▶︎ The pantry is led by DFP's Executive Director Denise "Dinky" Youngsteadt-Parrish, recently recognized as the Dublin Chamber of Commerce President's Award Honoree. The Chamber noted, "She is a passionate advocate, committed to the most vulnerable members of our community."

▶︎ Director of Operations Jim Wilson is in his 3rd year at the pantry working to make sure we have the supplies to "fill carts + hearts" for customers. Jim works with the hundreds of dedicated volunteers needed to be able to serve so many, so efficiently - throughout the ups and downs of the pandemic.

Some Frequently Asked Questions:

❓What is DFP's service area? We serve Dublin School District (9th largest school district in Ohio) and Dublin, Ohio (the 16th largest city* in Ohio)

❓How does Curbside service work? A volunteer greets customers in their vehicle in the parking lot of the pantry during curbside pantry hours. Customers must bring a photo ID for check-in. Curbside service is a pandemic safety measure. Once it is safe to do so, DFP will return to in-pantry shopping.

What is typically supplied by DFP?

At the once-a-month visit, supplies include bread, pastry, meat, dairy, bagged fresh produce, boxed food staples and personal care essentials such as soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste. Special requests may include baby care items, pet food, and more. At check-in, customers are asked about other needs and every effort is made to provide help even if it requires collaboration with another non-profit or government agency.

Additional monthly visits provide perishable items including fresh produce, meat and bread.

"How can I help?" There are many ways to support Dublin Food Pantry listed below:

FOOD, FUND + ESSENTIAL COLLECTIONS are put to good use.

  • Our MOST NEEDED items and links to donate are on our website:

VOLUNTEER We couldn't serve so many so well without dedicated, kind and hardworking volunteers.

  • Right now, we can use help on Tuesdays and Thursdays with lifting and loading boxes that weigh between 24 and 45 lbs. If you host a Food, Fund + Essential Collection, that is a great way to volunteer to help too!

SHARE Help us get the word out that Dublin Food Pantry is here to help
