How often can I visit Dublin Food Pantry?

Once a month - in general - however, produce and other perishables may be offered twice a month. Please contact us at 614-889-6590 if you need help finding additional food.

How does curbside pick-up work at Dublin Food Pantry?

A volunteer will greet you in the parking lot while you remain in your vehicle. We will complete shopper check-in (please bring a photo ID) and ask about needs/requests. Pre-packaged grocery items will be loaded into your vehicle. This remain-in-the-car system allows for required social distancing as we strive to follow guidelines for maximum safety.

What does Dublin Food Pantry provide?

During the COVID-19 Crisis we are not a walk-in, "choice” pantry - instead pre-packaged groceries will be provided. Once monthly, this typically includes bread, pastry, dairy items, frozen meat, bagged fresh produce, and variety of boxed non-perishable food. Personal care items are also offered, please ask the volunteer at check-in for specific requests - like diapers, for instance. We usually have pet food, birthday bags, and a variety of other items. Vegetarian selections are also available. Volunteers will load the groceries into each shopper's vehicle (curbside) to best maintain the 6 foot distance guideline.

On a second monthly visit, fresh produce is offered. If you need more food, please contact us by phone: 614-889-6590 or by email: dinky@dublinfoodpantry.org

I just lost my job, How can I find out more about Food Assistance?

We are here to help you if you need food, please contact us with questions. If you have recently lost significant income, been laid off, or became unemployed because of workplace closures due to COVID-19, you may be eligible for Food Assistance in Ohio through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). To find out more about this:

What if I am an at risk shopper?

Seniors, for instance, or any at risk shopper may opt to send a PROXY or trusted person in their place to check-in and pick up the pre-packaged items on their behalf.

How do I send PROXY to Dublin Food Pantry?

If you are ill, under quarantine, disabled, or otherwise cannot make it to a pantry yourself, you can send a person you trust to shop for you by filling out a letter of PROXY. This letter should include: YOUR NAME, SIGNATURE, DATE, ADDRESS, PHONE, NUMBER IN HOUSEHOLD, PROXY NAME, and PROXY ADDRESS. You also need to give your PROXY a copy or photo of your ID and one proof of residence.

To see a letter of PROXY, please visit:

https://www.midohiofoodbank.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Letter-of-Proxy-example.pdf

A PROXY is a better way for at risk or ill people to access food. No one should visit if they may have been exposed to COVID-19 or are ill, or have a fever, or are more vulnerable to infection as listed by the CDC:https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/specific-groups/high-risk-complications.html

What if I do not have a PROXY or a way to get to Dublin Food Pantry?

Please call Dublin Food Pantry at 614-889-6590 or email dinky@dublinfoodpantry.org because in some instances, we can deliver (in partnership with the City of Dublin) or can find

a volunteer to be your PROXY.
