Truck N Truck was a success supporting Dublin Food Pantry, Dublin Bridges, Welcome Warehouse

Updated: Jul 28

This outdoor FUNdraiser on Sunday invited people to enjoy good food from four food trucks while supporting these three Dublin 501(3)(c) non-profits who make such a big impact in helping our community thrive. To find out more about the work that they do, please visit:

The Food Trucks included: Machi Habachi, Hisham's Food, Taco Mania, and Rime Time.

Special thanks to Peigi Fisher Hanson, owner of The Spa at River Ridge for hosting the event in their spacious parking lot and for donating $150 in gift cards. Thank you as well to her daughter, Ellie, and son Clayton who helped collect personal care items on behalf of Bishop Watterson High School. Also thank you to Abbey Martin, event coordinator at the Spa.

Collaboration amongst these three Dublin non-profits is on-going, so combining all three in a FUNdraiser made perfect sense. With emphasis on the greater good for our community, these three work together, along with other community partners, to meet needs and help our community thrive. Thank you to the leaders of these nonprofits for the work that they do! Dublin Food Pantry Executive Director Denise"Dinky" Youngsteadt-Parrish, Neighborhood Bridges Dublin Area Directors Jill Kranstuber and Sarah Savage,

Welcome Warehouse Executive Director Heather Heins.

This first time event was managed by Deb Papesh, a recent winner of the Outstanding Service Award by Dublin City Schools. She said that she pictures this as a "great way to enjoy local fare while doing good for our Big 3 in Dublin."

High School Students from Coffman, Jerome, Scioto, and Bishop Watterson were amongst volunteers on hand to collect donations and fill trunks near the four food trucks. Students, in addition to the Claytons mentioned above, included: Ayon Nag, Lucy McGary, Frances Pavell, Rachel Hare, Paul Ravera, Clare Galuzny, Meghan Means, Molly Shanahan, and Vinni Paradiso. Additional volunteers were also there from each nonprofit. Thank you to all of the volunteers!
