Dublin Food Pantry COVID-19 Preparedness & Response

Updated: Mar 17

Evolving guidance provided by the CDC and Ohio Department of Health will take precedent over the information provided here. Changes in DFP operation will be made accordingly and updates may be found on this website. Please reference websites listed below for additional insight.

Dublin Food Pantry will continue to serve those in need with some operational changes to best address the impact of COVID-19. We are incredibly thankful for the outreach from our community in support these efforts.

Here For The Long Haul

We will continue to work with Mid-Ohio Foodbank, our donors and community partners to serve our most vulnerable neighbors. We are in close touch with other non-profit organizations and with Dublin City Schools. There are likely opportunities to support and collaborate on efforts to address food insecurity due to closures, and we’re working out those details.

Changes in Operation

Temporarily, we will not be a “choice” pantry. Instead we will offer PRE-PACKAGED items to to minimize exposure for our shoppers and volunteers.  For complete details on how to get food, please visit:

https://www.dublinfoodpantry.org/get-food

We are asking all who enter the Pantry to follow these guidelines:

Please bring hand sanitizer for personal use while in pantry, if possible. Do not bring in reusable bags. We are asking that one adult complete each full-cart pick-up at the pantry to better maintain recommended social distancing. An adult proxy may be sent because no one should visit the pantry if they might have been exposed to COVID-19, feel sick, have a fever, or if they are more vulnerable to infection as listed by the CDC:

We appreciate the positive reception to these changes as we respond to this unprecedented public health crisis.

We have always taken pride in our clean and well-run pantry, and we know that this focus is more important than ever. We will increase the depth and frequency of cleaning. There are nearby restrooms so a hand-washing area is readily accessible. In short, we will make every effort to follow recommended guidelines to stem the spread of the coronavirus, or COVID-19.

The health, safety, and physical well-being of our volunteers, clients and staff remains a top priority.

How You Can Help

As we adjust to changes in packing and sourcing at this time, financial donations are crucial. These donations will allow us to better access cleaning materials, boxes, and most needed items that can be harder to find now.

Volunteers are needed and greatly appreciated!

Donations of unexpired, unopened, non-perishable food are always helpful. The MOST NEEDED list will be continually updated on our website under HOW YOU CAN HELP.

Donations may be dropped off every day from 8AM – 8PM

81 W. Bridge St. Dublin OH 43017 in Dublin Community Church

Thank you

We can’t do this alone, so we extend heartfelt thanks to our volunteers, donors, partners and staff for their commitment and hard work.
