Happy Spring | April Newsletter

Dear Friends of the Dublin Food Pantry,

Happy Spring!

This month, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for the volunteers who make our work possible. You are the heart of the Dublin Food Pantry, and we could not carry out our mission without your time, energy, and dedication.

Volunteers support the Pantry in countless ways, from date checking, stocking, and assisting customers to picking up rescued food and tending to the Pantry’s on-site garden. Many also never step inside the pantry, but regularly donate food or organize food drives in schools, neighborhoods, and community groups.

It is truly heartwarming to see individuals of all ages and backgrounds give their time and talents to help ensure the Pantry is ready to serve our customers.

With deep gratitude for all who take action to help others,

Neighbors Making an Impact

Join our Neighborhood FoodShare!

You can make a difference right from your own neighborhood through our Neighborhood FoodShare Program.

Jeff and Helen Davidson have been leading this effort in The Courtyards at Jerome Village, gathering more than 6,560 pounds of food and personal care items since last fall.

The Spirit of Giving Starts Early in Dublin

Volunteers Tom and Susan Priess (pictured left) recently picked up 125 pounds of donations collected by Cub Scout Wolf Pack 111 from Wyandotte Elementary School.

This is a perfect reminder that even the youngest members of our community can make a measurable difference.

Students Giving Back

Last Saturday, more than 80 middle and high school students from Dublin’s Interact Clubs joined forces for a “Dublin Strong” event.

The event featured games and activities, along with a strong focus on giving back, with participants encouraged to support the Dublin Food Pantry and One Dublin.

Volunteer Spotlight: Phil Ross

Phil Ross (left) is a longtime Dublin Food Pantry volunteer whose dedication helps make our work possible.

Recently, Phil volunteered to help prepare for a Pop-Up Pantry and deliver clothing to One Dublin for families in our community. He also plays an important role behind the scenes by driving the Pantry’s truck to help maximize weekly food donations across Dublin.

Thanks to Phil’s efforts, the first One Dublin Mobile Clothing offering was a success, helping expand access to essential resources for families.
