The Dublin Food Pantry provides supplemental food to the needy in the Dublin, Ohio area. Established as an interfaith organization since the 1970’s, the Pantry currently serves 120 families per month. Also, the Pantry hosts a Harvest for Help Day where each family served in the past year can come back for an additional holiday food basket.
The pantry relies on donations of food and money as well as a monthly group of volunteers to support the functions of the food pantry. All food pantry workers are volunteers.
After distributiong food in a traditional format for years, in the fall of 2006 we bagan a client choice program. Each family now has the opportunity to select their own food on Tue or Thur. This is on a per month basis; however, additional food may be provided on an as needed basis. All recipients receive food based on their family size and special needs. The food that the families receive provide complete balanced meals for five to seven days for each family.
